Once upon a time, there existed an enormous industrialized country that served as a symbol of opportunity to the many enthusiastic individuals who wanted nothing but the freedom that their old homes denied them.  Sacrifices were made, blood was shed, all in the name of liberty.  Great men aspired to great feats as they challenged the status quo.  They inspired the people to speak with one voice, and in one voice declare that their oppression was over, and this didn’t just happen on one occasion.  The American Revolution, ending Slavery, the Civil Rights Movement, Women’s rights, LGBTQ rights, gender rights, Women’s rights again.  It’s happening in one other movement as well.  A movement which has been gaining momentum since the first state took its stand.  The legalization of marijuana is now taking the nation by storm.

With over ten years of experience in the healthcare field, the growing number of patients seeking my advice on marijuana has increased dramatically.  When the drug wasn’t much of a social issue, a nervous patient might inquire about its effects or a worried mother may ask if her son was frying his brain.  Soon, when a few states legalized cannabis for medicinal use, more patients began openly discussing it.  It amazed me at first, but I had to know what all the fuss was about so I started my own research into the drug.  What I found during my investigation was disturbing.

I had learned of all of the medical, and debilitating physical conditions that were treatable by marijuana.  As a healthcare practitioner, I know that the human body is an amazing piece of machinery.  Each person responds to different stimuli in a variety of ways.  One surprising truth that seemed to present itself over and over was that marijuana was statistically helping more patients over a multitude of conditions than any other drug currently available.  This led me to create TheLaughingGrass.com, a website dedicated to the education, information and the ultimate legalization of marijuana.
