Joe’s on Weed St., 940 W. Weed St., will host a fundraiser to help support the families of fallen Chicago Police Officers Samuel Jimenez, Conrad Gary and Eduardo Marmolejo on Jan. 2, from 6 to 9 p.m.
The $25 entry charge includes 2 drink tickets. The PriSSillas will provide music. T-shirts and raffle tickets will be sold on site. 100 percent of ticket sales, t-shirt sales, and raffle ticket sales will be split between the three families.
Officer Jimenez was killed at Mercy Hospital on Nov. 19 when responding to a call. He is survived by his wife and three children.
Officer Gary, of Mt. Greenwood, and Officer Marmolejo, of Beverly, were struck and killed by a train on Dec. 17, while investigating a report of shots fired. Officer Gary is survived by his wife and daughter and Officer Marmolejo is survived by his wife and three daughters.
