- JULIET, Tenn. – Police officers made a drug arrest after they pulled over a 36-year-old man for following another car too closely.
According to reports, Ryan Taladay of South Carolina, was pulled over for following the vehicle in front of him too closely.
The incident happened around 8:20 p.m. Friday on North Mt. Juliet Road near West Division Street.
The officer noted a strong smell of weed coming from inside the car while speaking to Taladay. Taladay later confessed that he was carrying a small amount of marijuana in the car.
Police conducted a search of the vehicle and discovered around one pound of marijuana wax, one small jar of marijuana cream, five prescription size bottles of marijuana, about 3.5 pounds of loose marijuana and 11 ounces of marijuana butter.
Taladay was also found with about $1,500 in cash and glass pipes. The police stated that a lot of the marijuana was in vacuum-sealed containers. The authorities also confirmed that all evidence was seized.
Detectives stated that they believed Taladay was distributing illegal drugs in the Mt. Juliet community.
Taladay was arrested and charged with possession of a schedule VI drug (marijuana) with intent to resale and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Taladay was lodged in the Wilson County Jail.
