6th annual Medical Marijuana Trade Show and Exposition to be June 3, 4

AUGUSTA — The 6th annual Medical Marijuana Trade Show and Exposition, Home Grown Maine, will take place Saturday, June 3, and Sunday, June 4, at the Augusta Civic Center. The event is the largest medical marijuana trade show in New England, according to event organizers.

“It once again brings Maine to the forefront of medical marijuana patient care and the expanding medical marijuana trade,” a news release said. “Maine has made the big times, leading the way with the highest-rated medical marijuana program in the nation,” they said.

The show will feature more than 100 business vendors in addition to thousands of caregivers and patients. The business vendors represent all aspects of patient care, as well as all things medical marijuana for caregivers looking for better ways to serve their patients.

From lighting and cooling systems, to processing and extraction systems, the show features the latest and best products in the field. A variety of caregivers will be on hand to speak to patients and provide them with options for their care.

Multiple items will be raffled off during the show and educational workshops will be held both days.

Presenters will include Dr. Dustin Sulak, and Dawson Julia, who will head an opiates and cannabis panel. More than a dozen other workshops will include topics such as lighting, integrated pest management, extractions.

There will be also be nearly a dozen panel discussions on a large variety of topics, including ending opiate addiction with medical marijuana. Other panels will feature veterans, doctors, lawyers, testing lab specialists, legislative, women’s and other important topics. The panels will feature prominent local and national specialists to discuss today’s issues.

The Captains of Medical Marijuana Trade will begin at 5 p.m. Friday, June 2, at the Augusta Country Club, 19 Hammonds Grove (U.S. Route 202) Manchester. A variety of entrees, with gluten free and vegan options, will be served at 6:30. The dinner is a great opportunity for industry players to network and discuss the future of medical marijuana.
