KALAMAZOO, MI — Two men were arrested Saturday after police found 70 marijuana plants in a search of their home.
According to a release from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety, officers executed a search warrant Saturday at a home in the 1500 block of North Drake Road. An investigation previously revealed information about sales and manufacturing of marijuana at the residence, police said.
Officers found more than 70 marijuana plants in various stages of growth, more than five pounds of processed marijuana and a large amount of cash, believed to be the proceeds of drug sales.
Several residents were located inside the home when police conducted the search.
A 49-year-old man was arrested, and will face charges of manufacturing marijuana, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, and maintaining a drug house.
A 31-year-old man who is currently on parole will also be facing charges for possession with the intent to deliver marijuana, maintaining a drug house and violating parole.
Both men were lodged at the Kalamazoo County Jail.
Further charges are pending regarding two other residents within the home.
