The 2018 Cannabis Collaborative Conference (CCC), a two-day convention and networking event focused on the education of the fast-growing cannabis industry, will take place January 24th and 25th at the Portland Metropolitan Exposition Center (Portland Expo Center), according to CCC producer Mary Lou Burton.
Oregon is three years into full legalization and Washington is five years in, the focus of the conference has shifted from its roots of educating the public, policy makers and operators on cannabis 101, over to how to successfully and profitably operate in the current environment. The conference will also highlight ways to prepare businesses for the eventual consolidation in the market and for full federal legalization.
The fourth annual CCC, on January 24th and 25th, focuses on ways to be profitable and provide vital information and education to cannabis industry professionals and investors. The CCC Investor Summit, a half-day add-on event, is January 23rd.
Delivering a keynote address will be Oregon Congressman Earl Blumenauer. Keynote will also include Oregon Liquor Control Commission (OLCC) and counterparts from other states as well as a moderated banking panel discussion to address the dire situation in banking for Cannabis businesses.
Noteworthy elements of this conference are; “Energy Corner” in the exhibit hall, showcasing companies offering sustainable options for energy use; the OLCC “Seed to Sale” training for growers; Cannabis products on display; and the All-State Summit, wherein key businesses, rule-makers and legislators from multiple legalized cannabis states will join with Oregon industry experts to create a thought-leader think tank on both the legal and ancillary aspects of the industry.
The 2018 Cannabis Collaborative Conference will offer two full days of educational sessions with more than 70 industry experts, an exhibit hall with more than 100 cannabis related businesses on display, and the half-day Cannabis Investor Forum with tracks for both investor and entrepreneur.
