Dr. Dre and Xzibit are the latest to be slapped with a lawsuit.
Allegedly, three individuals who worked for the company Brass Knuckles claim they did a ton of work for the two hip-hop moguls, but ended up being cut out of a lucrative deal.
In the lawsuit, the three individuals reveal getting screwed out of the fortune which came from the booming cannabis industry.
They claim that Dre and Xzibit took their time, money, and hard work. They even went on to state the two veteran rappers pretended they never existed.
TMZ reports Brass Knuckles was supposed to acquire a 14.5% stake in the business but were completely left in the dust.
The documents reveal the company was originally valued at $50 million, but after the deal was made where the three would pay $5 million for their share, they were told the company was actually valued at $170 million.
It was at that point that they got Dre and Xzibit allegedly demanded more money.
Dr. Dre’s lawyer, Howard King stated that this case is “nothing more than a blatant and short-sighted attempt by the plaintiffs to generate publicity for their cause.”
Xzibit and the cannabis company has yet to make a statement.
