Another weed dispensary in Toronto has now become the latest victim of a robbery.
According to authorities, the robbery happened at around 9 p.m. on Wednesday at the Canna Clinic at 527 Eglinton Ave. W. near Avenue Road.
The police revealed that they received information about the robbery after a security guard at the store reported the incident.
They said that say no one has contacted them and no one from the clinic staff was present when they arrived.
It’s still unclear if any merchandise was stolen, however, reports have stated that the front window was smashed.
As it stands, there are currently no suspect or suspects.
Since 2016, robbers have been targeting cannabis dispensaries.
Currently, all storefront pot dispensaries are illegal in Canada. The federal government has been working on draft legislations to legalize and regulate recreational marijuana. That legislation should be tabled this spring.
