Namaste Technologies Inc.’s wholly owned subsidiary, Cannmart Inc., will purchase medical cannabis from Weed Me Inc. to offer in its online platform as part of a new product acquisition agreement between the two companies.

Subject to the terms of the agreement, Cannmart has placed its first order with Weed Me that includes a variety of pre-rolled products in several strains, notes a statement from Namaste, which operates the largest global cannabis e-commerce platform with more than 30 websites in 20-plus countries under various brands.

Weed Me is a Canadian licensed producer whose vision is to “enhance lives through the provision of high-quality medical and recreational cannabis” by developing unique formulations and cannabis strains that meet those consumers’ needs.

“By creating a unique offering of strains and products sourced from multiple producers, Cannmart offers medical patients more variety of high-quality cannabis products through a single platform,” the statement reports, adding that the company is focusing on securing more products and expanding its product categories to include pre-rolls.

“We’ve secured supply from their (Weed Me’s) first production,” says Sean Dollinger, president and CEO of Namaste. “By leveraging our technology platforms, expertise in e-commerce and incredible customer service, we intend on improving the buying experience for medical patients and becoming Canada’s leading online platform for medical cannabis sales,” Dollinger adds.
