Charlize Theron said on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Wednesday that not only does she have a weed habit, but also that her mom is her supplier of choice.
The Oscar-winning actress, 42, plays a businesswoman determined to launch a bioengineered marijuana product in Gringo, which hits theaters March 9.
She revealed she and her mother Gerda talked about partaking in the drug to combat their problems sleeping. And Theron didn’t have to go far to find it, according to reports.
The highlights (no pun intended):
- “Last week she showed up at my house, literally drove in her little tennis outfit and brought me a little container and just left it on my kitchen table,” Theron said of her mother’s edible delivery.
- And Mom knows her weed. “She was like, ‘So I got some blueberry-covered chocolate ones but if you want it faster-acting you should go for the mints — those you suck and it works faster,’” Theron said.
- How are they sleeping now? “It totally works, it’s amazing,” Theron said of marijuana, calling her mom her “dealer.” “You can’t have her, she’s all mine.”
Theron lives in California, where weed is legal. If Gov. Phil Murphy has his way, this mother-daughter scenario could be very real here in New Jersey.
