Sallisaw, OK — Authorities have identified the woman arrested after the Drug Task Force found nearly 100 pounds of medical marijuana in her vehicle traveling through Oklahoma.Tracy Ann Rogers was arrested on a complaint of drug trafficking and is currently being held on $10,000 bond.The District 27 Drug Task Force says it seized nearly 100 pounds of medical marijuana after pulling Rogers over on March 28 along Interstate 40.
Agent Eric Helms said he smelled a heavy scent of fabric softener coming from the car Tuesday after he pulled over Rogers in a rental car near Sallisaw.The drug task force says officers found 51 packages of marijuana.Helms said someone who has a legal medical marijuana prescription wouldn’t package their drugs like its being trafficked across the country.
“If it’s legal, why are they trying to conceal it like this? They were individually wrapped, the marijuana was wrapped in vacuum sealed bags,” said Helms.
