ELYRIA — An Elyria mother has been indicted on drug and child endangering charges for allegedly smoking marijuana with her son and his friends.
Melissa Golden, 39, was indicted on three counts of fourth-degree felony corrupting another with drugs, three counts of misdemeanor endangering children and three counts of misdemeanor contributing to unruliness or delinquency of a child by a Lorain County grand jury last week, according to court documents.
Lorain County Prosecutor Dennis Will said Golden is believed to have smoked marijuana with her 15-year-old son and two of his friends, ages 14 and 15, in her Alexander Drive home.
“In the state of Ohio, even though marijuana has been medically approved for use, it’s still against the law to utilize it for recreational use,” Will said
