SANTA YNEZ, Calif. – Fire crews quickly put out a small vegetation fire that was caused by a weed wacker in the Santa Ynez Valley.
Santa Barbara County Fire responded to a report of a vegetation fire at 1610 North Refugio Road around 2:55 p.m.
A person on the property was using a weed wacker to trim vegetation when it sparked and caught fire.
Santa Barbara County Fire and the Los Padres National Forest Service were able to put out the 1.3-acre fire within 15 minutes.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was due to the weed wacker according to fire officials.
