‘Florida Project’ star Bria Vinaite may relaunch her weed-themed clothing line

Bria Vinaite

Before earning rave reviews for her acting debut in “The Florida Project,” Bria Vinaite was just an Instagram star with a marijuana-inspired clothing collection. And despite her newfound fame (a cameo in Drake’s “Nice For What” music video, plus a starring role in Harmony Korine’s next film), the 24-year-old says she’s eager to get back into fashion design.

“At first I thought I was too busy, but recently I’ve been designing a few things for the future,” Vinaite told Page Six. “More clothing is definitely in my future.” As the star of online retailer Spring‘s new sneaker-focused campaign (with her own curated streetwear collection), it seems she’s already hit the ground running.

The star launched ChroniCal Designs when she was still a teenager, and often promoted her line’s weed-emblazoned bikinis and pot-leaf earrings on her own Instagram. In fact, it was Vinaite’s colorful social media presence that caught the eye of “Florida Project” director Sean Baker in the first place, and eventually led to her casting.

Vinaite added that she’s equally open to refocusing attention on her own line or collaborating with another brand. “Whenever that opportunity comes, I’ll be ready with a million ideas,” she said.

But don’t expect the actress to abandon her signature 420-friendly aesthetic just because she’s hit it big in Hollywood. Vinaite said while she’s enjoyed collaborating with celebrity stylists for photoshoots and red carpets, her favorite aspect of getting dressed is “imagining all the different ways to spice it up and make it my own vibe.”
