We’ve talked in the past about President Donald Trump’s constantly changing view about drugs. He’s said both that marijuana laws should be left up to the states but also left the door open for the federal government to crackdown on dispensaries. He’s also openly talked about trying to fix opioid crisis in America, but then refuses to give any resources to actually doing anything about it.
Well, if you’re confused about President Trump’s views about drugs, then you’re in luck. Today, the president gave a statement to the press about how to fix America’s addiction crisis. The statement speaks for itself:
Now this is the moment Donald Trump became President! But then his advice to tell kids, “No good, really bad for you,” is genius. Let’s face it, kids are dumb. They don’t understand complete sentences. The best way to communicate the dangers of abusing prescription painkillers is to treat them like a dog and slap their noses with a newspaper and say, “No good! Bad child! Drugs bad for you!”
Now we just need to cut out that “No good, really bad for you clip,” to run in montages alongside FDR’s, “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself,” and JFK’s, “Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country.”
