Greyhound has relocated in Weed

The Greyhound bus stop in Weed has relocated to the Dos Amigos Mexican Restaurant in South Weed, which is open seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Restaurant owner Cliff Chang purchased it from previous operator Ray Marschner and moved the stop approximately one mile from its former location as of March 26. The new location at 175 E. Vista Drive in Weed means travelers can wait inside for the bus.

Greyhound announced the change in a press release on Monday, April 9.

“Greyhound has served the Weed community for over 40 years, making it a familiar and reliable travel choice for local residents,” according to Ed van Heel, regional manager, customer experience, Greyhound Lines, Inc. “Our new stop is in one of the busiest locations in Weed, effectively increasing access for the community.”

The new stop is within walking distance of gas stations and provides customers with access to food, restrooms and convenience goods.

Located between the cities of Medford, Ore., and Redding, the new stop provides two northbound and three southbound schedules each day, where customers can connect to Greyhound’s network of 3,800 destinations across North America, according to the press release.
