A traffic stop for speeding ended in a major drug bust over the weekend.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, a trooper pulled a vehicle over for speeding in a 60 mile-per-hour zone on I-94 in Morton County Sunday morning.
Authorities say they observed “indications of criminal activity” from the two men inside.
That prompted a search of the vehicle, which revealed 59 pounds of marijuana, as well as several plants and about $1,400 in cash.
The Highway Patrol says the vehicle was impounded, and the two men were taken into custody on various charges.
