(DES MOINES) – IDPH sent a statement saying, “Updated applications for patients and primary care givers will be available from the IDPH website beginning Monday, June 19, 2017.”
Local 5 talked to a Colorado company that is interested in growing and dispensing medical cannabis in Iowa.
They said since Iowa’s law limits the amount of THC and the list of ailments that qualify a person for medical cannabis, it will likely take some time to get everything up and running.
The Iowa Department of Public Health announced another date, December 1, 2018. That’s when cannabis manufacturers have to agree to begin supplying medical cannabidoil to licensed dipensaries.
