ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC (WTAT-TV) — Orangeburg County deputies seized $75,000 worth of marijuana and two men were arrested during a special operation Wednesday.
A small amount of marijuana was found in a duffle bag in the backseat of a white Dodge truck. They later discovered a suitcase carrying 19 pounds of marijuana.
Officers say they also found 70 Xanax pills hidden in a shoe, and a .40 caliber handgun in the trunk.
25-year-old Forrest Brown and 29-year-old McKinley Johnson were arrested.
They were each charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance, trafficking marijuana, and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
A judge set their bond at $50,000 each.
