Lance Kendricks is Second Green Bay Packer Charged with Possession

Kendricks was pulled over by police for speeding (driving while black)
GREEN BAY, Wisc. – Another Green Bay Packer was caught for marijuana possession by police last September. Lance Kendricks, tight end for the Green Bay Packers, was stopped by police on Sept. 2 and was charged with marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. The incident previously went unreported and was first reported by TMZ on Nov. 25.

Kendricks was returning home from a Wisconsin Badgers game when he was pulled over by police for speeding (driving while black) and denied having any marijuana in his possession at first. He later admitted to having weed in his glove box after police said they “could smell a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle.” Kendricks used to play football for the University of Wisconsin.

Police say that Kendricks was clocked driving 81 mph in a 70-mph zone. Police found a Louis Vuitton bag containing a glass container of marijuana along with a grinder and a couple of packs of rolling papers. The football player was given a warning for speeding, but is being charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The case will be handled by the Outagamie County District Attorney’s Office.

Kendricks is the second Green Bay Packer that was reported to have been arrested for marijuana possession in one weeks-time. Teammate Aaron Jones was arrested for marijuana possession last October, but the incident was not reported until last week. Jones received a citation for driving without a valid driver’s license, speeding and driving under the influence of a controlled substance. The running back is a rookie for the Green Bay Packers and is expected to finish the season before any discipline is handed out by the league. Kendricks is also expected to finish the season.
