A driver who was speeding on Route 13 in Dryden had marijuana and illegal fireworks in the car, according to state police.
Curtis Galaska, 28, of Cortland, was arrested Saturday after the trooper who pulled him over smelled marijuana in the vehicle. A search of the car revealed more than nine ounces of marijuana, as well as fireworks and an electronic scale, troopers said.
The vehicle was also not properly registered in New York state.
Galaska was charged with a felony count of third-degree criminal possession of marijuana, a violation of unlawful possession of fireworks, as well as other traffic infractions. He was ticketed to appear in Dryden Town Court.
