The Marijuana Control Board held day two of its meeting in Fairbanks today.
Board members reviewed a variety of Marijuana Cultivation Facility Applications, and New Retail Marijuana Store Applications.
While a majority of these were approved, the board had their doubts on others.
The Alaska Native Cannabis Company, LLC, from Sterling, was not approved.
The property where a new dispensary would have been placed had previously been involved with an illegal retail shop.
The property owner has since shut down the operation his tenants started, and now wants to run a dispensary the correct way.
Others who attended the meeting also experienced disappointment when the board moved their discussion of Onsite Consumption Regulations to tomorrow’s meeting.
