34 pounds of marijuana and 2 pounds of methamphetamine were seized after a traffic stop in Carson County. At 2:51 pm Saturday Afternoon, a 2017 Nissan Sentra going east on I-40 near Conway and was stopped by DPS Troopers for a traffic Violation. A DPS canine was called out and multiple plastic-wrapped bundles of marijuana and one plastic bag of meth were discovered in the vehicle. 25-year-old Joel Herrera of Phoenix was arrested and booked into the Carson County Jail on felony possession of marijuana. The drugs were being transported from Phoenix to Memphis Tennessee and worth $380,000.
