LEADING PRODUCER OF HEMP-BASED CBD FOR COMPANION ANIMALS ANNOUNCES TEAM OF WORLD-CLASS INDUSTRY EXPERTS
SAN DIEGO, Feb. 8, 2018 — Medical Marijuana, Inc. (OTC:MJNA), the first-ever publicly traded cannabis company in the United States, subsidiary Phyto Animal Health announced today the establishment of its Veterinary Advisory Board.
Phyto Animal Health’sAdvisory Board is comprised of recognized experts in veterinary medicine and animal sciences. The Board’s mandate is to create animal-safe products and build upon the Company’s industry-leading standards to continue to ensure substantive, in-depth, science-based standards of practice.
The Phyto Animal Health Veterinary Advisory Board was created after several months of rigorous research, outreach and coordination with leaders in the private, public, academic and veterinary sectors. The Company also consulted with the Veterinary Cannabis Academy for additional guidance on research, advocacy and education about hemp for veterinary medicine. The Board members’ expertise spans fields relevant to ensuring the physical, emotional and long-term health of companion animals.

Phyto Animal Health is honored to welcome its first members, in alphabetical order:
- Stephen Cital, RVT, SRA, RLAT, VTS-Lab Animal is the Executive Director for the Academy of Laboratory Animal Veterinary Technicians and Nurses and Training Manager and Surgery Service Lead at Silicon Valley Veterinary Specialists in San Jose, CA. He is also the Vice President and current liaison for the California RVT Association and member at large for the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America.
- Liz Hughston, MEd., RVT, CVT, VTS (SAIM, ECC) is the President-Elect of the Academy of Internal Medicine Veterinary Technicians. She has been practicing as a veterinary technician in California for more than a decade and is an adjunct professor at the Penn Foster College Veterinary Technology Program. She is a frequent and sought-after national and international speaker on topics such as critical care, emergency, small animal internal medicine and professional development. In 2013, she received CaRVTA’s inaugural RVT of the Year Award.
- William Muir III, DVM, Ph.D., DACVAA, DACVECC, nicknamed the “Godfather of Anesthesia and Pain Management in Veterinary Medicine,” has served as Chief Medical Officer for The Animal Medical Center of New York and was a Professor of the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences at The Ohio State University for 37 years. He is board certified in veterinary anesthesia and veterinary medicine and critical care, a fellow of the American Academy of Clinical Pharmacology, regional director of the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management and a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. He earned his bachelor’s and veterinary degrees (DVM) from Michigan State University and his MS and Ph.D. from The Ohio State University.
- Robert J. Klostermann, DVM, has practiced veterinary medicine for 60 years and established the Middleton Veterinary Hospital in 1978. He graduated from Iowa State University, College of Veterinary Medicine that same year. His interests lie in internal medicine, surgery and dentistry with specialty in production of animal medicine and diagnostics. He has also served as President of the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association.
