ODESSA, Ne — Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol seized 120 pounds of marijuana that began falling out of the back of a trailer on Interstate 80 Friday afternoon.
Troopers received a call that a package had fallen off of a flatbed trailer that was being pulled by a Dodge truck on I-80 outside Odessa, Nebraska around 3:00 PM.
They then conducted a search of the vehicle and trailer and discovered a hidden compartment on the undercarriage of the trailer full of 120 pounds of marijuana with an estimated street value of $366,000.
The driver of the truck, 48-year-old Charlie Red of Colorado, and passenger 29-year-old Damaisy Rodriguez of Florida, were both arrested for Possession of Marijuana, Possession with Intent to Deliver and No Drug Tax Stamp and were both booked in the Buffalo County Jail.
