Local businesses are facing a dilemma now that recreational marijuana is legal in Nevada. The question is, do they hire someone who uses the drug on their own time?
Workforce Connections, an organization that helps people find jobs, says companies are being forced to make changes to their drug policies to maintain proper staffing.
Lawyers are also seeing more and more cases of people finding out the hard way that what they do off the clock could still cost them their jobs even though it is legal.
There is still zero tolerance though in the manufacturing and construction industries.
For now, it is probably for the best that you do not use drugs if you are looking for a job. And if you already have one, you could still be taking a risk.
