New technology is coming to Canada’s cannabis industry that will cut the time required to dry cannabis by 90% and at least triple its shelf life.
Kaamos Inc. has signed a Letter of Intent with Protein Solutions Group (PSG) to purchase an exclusive license that allows Kaamos Inc. to immediately sell and sub license PSG’s proprietary Protein Dried™ technology to Canadian licensed producers.
Approved for use in Canada, Protein Dried™ is an organic dehydration technology that is superior to other drying methods. Protein Dried™ preserves the cellular structures inside the plant material, increases shelf life, and requires little to no heat which protects the temperature-sensitive molecules in the cannabis plant from degradation during the drying process.
This rapid dehydration method provides competitive advantages for licensed Canadian cannabis producers including:
- Cellularly intact dried product, allowing for higher concentrations of THC and CBD to be extracted.
- reduced drying time from 14 days to 18 hours or less, allowing for faster processing.
- Preservation of the dried plants for 18 – 24 months versus the current shelf life of only 4 – 6 months, enabling producers to stockpile their product in preparation for Canada’s legalization of recreational marijuana in July 2018.
- Minimal new equipment costs and low energy costs
“As Protein Solutions Group develops its strategic partnerships with firms around the globe, it is critical that we select people and teams with the utmost integrity, experience and reach.
