New Study Says Mary Jane Makes You Horny

Marijuana Increases Libido-STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford University School of Medicine has conducted a study that links cannabis and wanting sex. The study was published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine last week and indicates that one’s desire for sex is enhanced after consuming marijuana.

The scientists studied over 50,000 people for the study. The study found that on average, women who smoke ganja every day had sex 7.1 times monthly, while women who do not use marijuana had sex only six times monthly. Men who consume cannabis daily had sexual intercourse 6.9 times monthly compared to 5.6 times for men who do not use cannabis.

The study also found that people who regularly smoke marijuana have more sex than those who do not smoke by at least 20 percent! Dr. Michael Eisenberg, a sexual disfunction urologist at the Stanford University School of Medicine, conducted the study after several patients asked him about marijuana in relation to sexual performance. Prior to the study, the doctor had assumed that marijuana smoke would negatively affect erectile dysfunction in the same way tobacco smoke does. For that reason, he advised his patients with erectile problems not to smoke marijuana.

Because of the research conducted, Dr. Eisenberg is now recommending medical marijuana for his patients with sexual performance issues. “There are different hypotheses about why the association exists. It may be that marijuana increases arousal and sexual satisfaction.” He added that smoking marijuana doesn’t automatically lead to a satisfying sex life and that it is much too soon to make that assessment. More research is needed to determine if marijuana is indeed an aphrodisiac. However, you don’t have to wait to conduct your own research.
