Two Perris men were arrested after someone robbed a dispensary of marijuana and later pointed a gun at the victim, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said.
The incident happened on May 1 and the arrests took place early May 2. The Sheriff’s Department did not announce the arrests until Friday, May 12.
The robbery happened in the 100 block of Bold Venture Street in Perris. A suspect tried to pay for marijuana using fake $100 bills, a news release said. When the seller realized this, the suspect forcefully took the marijuana and fled to a nearby home.
The victim followed the suspect and called for deputies. As the victim waited, the same suspect came outside and pointed a semi-automatic pistol at the victim, the release said.
Deputies arrived and arrested Tredrick James, 24, of Louisiana, on suspicion of felony.
possession of marijuana and possession of an assault weapon; and Marcus Marshall, 25, of Las Vegas, on suspicion of exhibiting a deadly weapon other than a firearm and second-degree robbery.
Deputies also found evidence from additional robberies as well as firearms and illegal drugs, the release said.
