LIBERTY TWP. — Two New York state residents face charges for allegedly transporting two five-gallon buckets containing a large amount of marijuana.
Cpl. Mark Conrad stopped them for following too closely May 31 on Interstate 80 westbound in Liberty Township.
Denmark O. Duffus, 36, of Bronx, was driving with Rahsheed A. Brown, 30, of Saint Albans, as a passenger.
Police searched the 2017 Honda and found the buckets in the trunk.
Montour County District Judge Marvin Shrawder arraigned them and committed each to jail in lieu of $35,000 straight bail.
Conrad charged each with criminal conspiracy, possession with intent to manufacture or deliver marijuana, not being registered under the Controlled Substance, Drug, Device and Cosmetic Act and possessing drug paraphernalia. Duffus was also charged with following too closely
