True freshmen receiver James Robinson and linebacker Ventrell Miller were cited for marijuana possession early Monday morning according to a report by First Coast News Jacksonville Thursday afternoon.
Miller, already suspended from team activities for his involvement with a debit / credit card issue earlier in the month, hasn’t been seen with teh team publicly since the previous encounter. Robinson has been at practice all week.
Both from Lakeland, the two came from different high schols in the area. Both were expected to contribute as freshmen at Florida. That remains to be seen at this point.
Robinson came to Florida with a troubled past and strings seemed to be pulled in order for him to get into the program at Florida. There was no previous mention of anything on Miller before arriving in Gainesville.
The First Coast News report said that police officers were called to the dorm residence identified as Robinson’s place and once inside they were met with a cloud of smoke and eventually found two small bags of marijuana which Miller and Robinson each claimed ownership of oe each.
Nothing has been released from the team yet as to what may happen further to the two players.
