GRAVES COUNTY, KY – Three Graves County residents were arrested after a search of a home in downtown Wingo Friday night.
Graves County Sheriff Dewayne Redmon said deputies went to a home on State Route 339 in downtown Wingo to execute an arrest warrant on 54-year-old George Smith. Police entered the home and detained Smith without incident.
According to deputies, 42-year-old Fred Jackson and 24-year-old Jodi Compau, both of Mayfield, were also found inside the home. Jackson had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Deputies reportedly spotted marijuana in plain view inside the home and a search warrant was obtained.
During the search, a 4-foot tall potted marijuana plant was found on the roof of the home. Synthetic marijuana and methamphetamine was found inside the home, along with items of drug paraphernalia. Smith, Jackson and Compau were lodged in the Graves County Jail.
Smith was charged with possession of methamphetamine, cultivating marijuana under five plants, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Jackson was charged with possession of meth, tampering with physical evidence, possession of a synthetic drug, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of controlled substance. Compau was charged with possession of meth, possession of a synthetic drug, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
