Icelandic band Sigur Rós joined forces with California edible company Lord Jones to release a limited edition SIGURberry Gumdrop just in time for 4/20.
According to the website, the collaboration was “designed to provide a calming sense of well being inspired by the music of Sigur Rós.” The band is known for its mellifluous, downtempo tunes. The cannabidiol (CBD) focused edibles mimicking “foraged” blackberry, strawberry, and blueberry flavorings are available in packs of nine in both 10 mg and 20 mg doses per gumdrop.
Lord Jones’ founder, Robert Rosenheck, told Pitchfork that the project “really is a dream come true. Their music has been more than an inspiration to us over the years.”
The brand and band will throw a party in Los Angeles on April 18 to celebrate the launch. The party at NeueHouse in Hollywood will feature a “gumdrop tasting” equipped with multimedia collaborations showcasing moments in sound, film, and VR.
