Two teenagers face multiple felony charges after being found in possession of nearly three pounds of marijuana, according to arrest warrants.
Latin Riley King, 18, of Leicester, was charged with possession with intent to sell or distribute marijuana, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, felony possession of marijuana, and conspiracy to sell marijuana, according to arrest warrants.
Warrants state King conspired with a 17-year-old Weaverville male to sell and distribute the marijuana, which was listed as weighing 2.56 pounds, or 1,163 grams.
The arrests occurred Friday.
The Citizen-Times is not identifying the 17-year-old because of his age. Warrants state he was charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, conspiring to sell marijuana, possession of marijuana paraphernalia and felony possession of a schedule VI drug (marijuana).
Bond for King was set at $15,000, secured. Bond for the 17-year-old was set at $11,000, secured.
The paraphernalia charges for both youths were related to possession of baggies, digital scales and a vacuum sealer, warrants state.
The maintaining a vehicle or place for controlled substance charge was related to a residence in Weaverville used for keeping a marijuana, warrants stated.
