NORWALK — Two men were arrested Tuesday after more than two pounds of marijuana was seized.
The police department’s Special Services Division executed search warrants at a Chapel Street apartment.
“This stems from an investigation into the marijuana sales of Benjamin Morales, who resides at that address,” Lt. Terrence Blake said in a release.
“Officers located and seized over two pound of marijuana and 40 cannabis vape pens from both the residence and a vehicle used by Morales. Officers also located 165 grams of marijuana under a pillow, which Jean Benoit was sleeping on. Drug paraphernalia and drug-packaging equipment were also seized.”
Morales, 23, was charged with possession controlled substance with intent to sell within 1,500-feet of a day care, possession of a controlled substance, operating a drug factory and possession of drug paraphernalia within 1,500 feet of a daycare. He was held on $75,000 bond.
Jean Benoit, 22 of Robbins Square in Norwalk, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a day care and possession of a controlled substance. He was held on $25,000 bond.
