5-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after police found more than a pound and a half of marijuana and edibles inside of his car, police said.
Trent Holmes, of Middletown, was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police said they received a complaint about a vehicle in the parking lot of 29 Toelles Rd. having a strong odor of marijuana coming from it. When officers arrived, two subjects were inside and a large bag of marijuana was seen in plain view on the back seat, police said. The bag was later found to weigh half a pound.
The second occupant was released without any charges following an investigation, police said.
The total amount of marijuana seized was over a pound and a half and police also seized $1,200 in cash.
Holmes was released after posting $1,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in Superior Court in Meriden on Dec. 19.
