The agenda for the Sept. 5 meeting of the Windsor Town Council is packed with a wide variety of topics, ranging from emergency preparedness to the use of weed killer.
The regular calendar will kick off with two reports, one from fire chief Mark Heine (delayed from the last meeting as he attended the funeral of a firefighter killed at the Mendocino Complex fire) and one from county airport manager Jon Stout.
There will be a presentation on the proposed sculptures for the roundabouts on Old Redwood Highway, and a vote on discontinuing the use of glyphosphate (Roundup) by town landscape contractors.
There will be a discussion and guidance on the town’s risk management and claims/litigation processes, and the council will consider taking a position on the League of California Cities 2018 policy resolutions as they relate to supporting local municipal authority.
On the consent calendar, two new representatives for the Jensen Lane Development Ad Hoc committee will be approved, Jeffrey Leasure will represent the north side, and Michael Jeffries will represent the west side.
The next meeting of the Windsor Town Council takes place Wednesday, Sept. 5 at 6 p.m. in the Civic Center Council Chambers, 9291 Old Redwood Highway, Building 400.
