BONNEVILLE COUNTY, Idaho (KIFI/KIDK) – A field fire got out of control Monday evening in Bonneville County.
The Idaho Falls Fire Department was called to a fire just after 6:30 p.m. along the 3200 block of 81st South.
A homeowner was burning a pile of weeds near some dry weeds, when the fire ignited and spread quickly to some nearby trees. It burned close to two acres before firefighters were able to get it out. They said previously irrigated ground kept the fire from spreading too far.
The burn ban in Bonneville County has been lifted.
