WEED, Calif. — Family of Lela Dawn Smith reported the 34-year-old missing on Wednesday.
Police in Weed, Calif. say Smith does not have a permanent residence in Siskiyou County and frequently travels by hitchhiking or bus.
Police most recently saw her within the last month near Interstate 5 on-ramp trying to hitchhike to Redding, Calif.
Police say she has a history of traveling without notification and added there is currently no indication of foul play.
Family reported her missing after she missed calling her children on their birthday as well as not receiving any calls on her own birthday.
Her cousin describes her with brunette hair, although most recently it was dyed blond. She added Smith has a star tattoo on her left breast.
The last time family can confirm anyone had contact with her was July 12th.
