A Calhoun County deputy stopped a Chevrolet Impala on Interstate 26 on Aug. 17 for traveling 84 mph in a 70 mph zone, according to a sheriff’s office incident report.
The driver admitted having marijuana, the report said. The deputy reported finding two bags.
The driver was cited for simple possession of marijuana, speeding and improper lights.

• An Elloree resident reported on Aug. 17 that someone in Missouri used her Social Security number. Her bank advised her to report it to police so the bank can begin an investigation.
• A St. Matthews resident reported on Aug. 17 that a black trailer and chainsaw were taken from her Old State Road Property. The value is $2,000.
• A deputy stopped a silver Chrysler 300 after seeing it swerve over the centerline on Burke Road on Aug. 18.
• A St. Matthews resident reported that someone stole a green Briggs and Stratton 10-horsepower gas-powered generator from her Belleville Road home. The value of the unit is $500.
• On Aug. 18, a St. Matthews man reported that he was mowing his Raider Lane lawn when another St. Matthews man deliberately swerved at him as if to harass or scare him, according to a report.
• A St. Matthews resident reported Aug. 19 that her gold 2005 Honda Accord was taken from her Saints Avenue driveway. The car is valued at $6,300
