BUFFALO, N.Y. – U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at Lewiston Bridge seized a shipment containing more than 1.2 pounds of marijuana hidden inside cans labeled as “Moose” and “Husky.”
On Monday, CBP officers inspected a commercial shipment that arrived at the Lewiston Bridge commercial warehouse. Initial inspection of the shipment revealed cans labeled as “Moose” and “Husky.” When opened, the cans yielded more than 1.2 pounds of marijuana.
“CBP officers remain vigilant and work hard to keep our communities safe,” said Acting Port Director Cary Frieling. “Our officers’ experience, combined with the use of available tools, continues to keep dangerous drugs from entering our country.”
While anti-terrorism is the primary mission of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the inspection process at the ports of entry results in impressive numbers of enforcement actions in all categories.
