City to fertilize turf, spray noxious weeds

The city of Durango contracted with Scott’s Pro-Lawn to conduct turf fertilization and weed abatement Sept. 18 through Sept. 22 at several parks.

Turf and noxious weed maintenance will be conducted at these times and locations:

Sept. 18: Weed spraying in Buckley Park, 1250 Main Ave.Sept. 19: Weed spraying in Rank Park, 149 E. 22nd St.Sept. 22: Weed spraying and turf fertilization at Third Avenue Parkway, Carnegie turf, Mason Center turf and Chapman Hill turf.Herbicides to be used include Vessel Broadleaf and Q4 Turf.

Scott’s Pro-Lawn is licensed by the Colorado Department of Agriculture, and weed control has been tested and approved by the Environmental Protection Agency.
