SPRINGHILL TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Three people are facing charges after police uncovered a large marijuana grow operation in Springhill Township, Fayette County.
Pennsylvania State Police troopers went to a home on Great Lakes Road on Wednesday and noticed an overwhelming odor of marijuana. A search warrant was obtained.
During the execution of the search warrant, 111 marijuana plants, about 54 pounds of processed marijuana, $8,434 in cash and 283 various pills were seized from the home and an outdoor shed that was converted into a grow house.
The total street value of the drugs is $250,000, police said.
Charges were filed against Melissa Wargo, Mark Criswell and Donald Romesburg. The suspects were charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver and other charges.
All three are in the Fayette County Prison on $125,000 bond.
