Two men have allegedly been found with a commercial quantity of cannabis and hydroponic equipment in a truck in Melbourne.
Police officers were on patrol on Friday night when they saw a rental truck travelling through Whittlesea just after midnight and intercepted the vehicle, noticing a strong smell of cannabis.
A 28-year-old Brighton man and his passenger, a 29-year-old Bulleen man appeared in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Saturday.
The pair have each been charged with trafficking a drug of dependence – namely cannabis – in a commercial quantity and also possessing cannabis.
Neither of the men applied for bail.
They were remanded in custody to reappear in court on July 16 for a filing hearing.
