A Boise man was arrested in Oregon Saturday night after police found over 40 pounds of marijuana and marijuana extracts in his car, according to Oregon State Police.
Jeffery Scott Heiner, 51, of Boise was booked into the Deschutes County Jail on multiple charges.
Oregon State Police pulled Heiner over at 10 p.m. Saturday for alleged traffic violations on U.S. Highway 97 near milepost 143, according to a press release.
During a search of the car, officers found more than 40 pounds of marijuana and marijuana extracts, as well as Xanax, a controlled substance, and a concealed handgun, according to police.
Heiner had purchased the car, a white Ford Crown Victoria, roughly 20 minutes before the traffic stop in La Pine, Oregon, according to police. Police are also investigating a hit-and-run crash involving a vehicle Heiner possibly abandoned in La Pine earlier that day.
