A Northampton County woman is facing charges after state police said she smuggled three bundles of synthetic marijuana into a state prison “in her body cavity.”
The incident occurred just after noon on April 28 at the SCI Frackville in Ryan Township, Schuylkill County, police said.
Troopers said Michele George, 40, of Nazareth, went into a visitor’s bathroom at the prison and removed the bundles, then passed them to a prisoner she was visiting.
Police did not provide additional information.
George has been charged with drug delivery and possession of contraband. She is currently free on $25,000 unsecured bail.
A woman who stole a package from a porch has been identified and charged, according to the Northern York County Regional Police Department.
On April 29, police received a report about a theft of a delivery package from a resident’s front porch along the 700 block of North George Street in North York Borough.
The woman was later identified as 33-year-old Amanda Fuller, no address given, police said.
Fuller has since been charged with been charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.
If you’ve recently lost a duffle bag containing “one adult product,” fear not, the state police in York County have found it.
Troopers said the found the duffle along a creek near the 900 block of Log Road in York Township on March 26.
They did not say exactly what the product was.

A Dauphin County high school student was busted for bringing a vape pen “filled with liquid marijuana to school.
State police said the incident occurred in April at the Upper Dauphin High School in Washington Township.
The 15-year-old girl has been charged with drug possession and possession of paraphernalia.
“The student was also under the influence of the drug at the time. The student was taken into custody and released to her mother,” police said.
Northern York County Regional Police Department have arrested a man in connection with a hotel robbery last month and another this week.
The first robbery occurred just after 1 a.m. on April 27, at the Homewood Suites located at 200 Masonic Drive in Manchester Township, police said.
Just after 6 p.m. on May 2, Michael Henry Vanbourgondien, 28, no address given, was taken into custody at the nearby Super 8 Motel, police said.
“Vanbourgondien was located in a room at the motel. It was learned that he had attempted to rob the Super 8 Motel moments before his arrest. Vanbourgondien had pulled a knife on the desk clerk and demanded money. The clerk did not give Vanbourgondien any money and he became frustrated and went to his previously rented room. He advised the clerk that he would be back to get the money,” police said.
Vanbourgondien has been charged with both robberies, police said.

A man is facing charges in connection with a fight that occurred between several children in Steelton, according to borough police.
The investigation began on April 23, police said.
“Officers where shown a video where Jeffery Ceasar did transport 3 juveniles and encouraged them to assault another juvenile,” police said.
The 36-year-old Ceasar has been charged with corruption of minors, police said.
Police in Cornwall, Lebanon County are attempting to identify the source of loud noises recently heard in the borough.
Since April 20, officers have received multiple reports “of what callers have described as gunshots, fireworks, or explosions occurring between 10:30 p.m. and 2 a.m.,” police said.
“Whatever the sounds are they have been loud enough to get residents awake.
All reports put the activity as coming from somewhere in the vicinity of the north end of Quentin/SR 72/North Cornwall Road/Zinns Mill Road area,” police said.

A Harrisburg man is facing charges after police in Swatara Township said he was found in a hotel with more than five pounds of majarijuana.
Keion Griffin, 23, was found with 5.8 pounds of marijuana, two grams of crack cocaine, a handgun with an obliterated serial number and a digital scale and drug packaging materials, Swatara Township police said.
He was charged with possession of a prohibited firearm, possession of a firearm with an altered serial number, possession of marijuana and cocaine with intent to deliver, giving false ID to police and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Griffin was arrested April 15 by the Swatara Township High Enforcement Action Team during an investigation at the Rodeway Inn on Eisenhower Blvd.
He was also wanted on a parole violation from a prior robbery conviction, and was placed in Dauphin County prison in lieu of $100,000 bail.
A cashier at Walmart has been charged with stealing money from her cash drawer, according to police in Carlisle.
On April 24, Shana Eutzy-Young, 34, no address given, was charged with theft by unlawful taking.
“Eutzy-Young was taking money from the cash registers during the past couple of weeks. The total of the theft was determined to be $1,485,” police said.
Police in Chambersburg are attempting to identify a man who stole a Starbucks Frappuccino drink.
The theft occurred on April 10 at a Sheetz convenience store along Monticello Court, police said.
“A Sheetz employee observed the suspect conceal a Frappuccino in his sweatshirt and leave the store without paying for the merchandise,” police said.

Police in Manheim Township, Lancaster County are searching for a man they say violated a protection from abuse order.
Officers are searching for Dru Daniel Conner, 44, of Elizabethtown.
Earlier this week, Conner was accused of stalking someone who had filed a PFA against him Lancaster Township, police said.

A man was arrested after he “huffed” a can of air duster in front of Carlisle police.
Terry E. Darr, 61, was charged on May 3 with illegal use of a solvent or noxious substance, police said.
Police were called to McDonald’s in the 600 block of East High Street at 3:50 p.m. Thursday for a reported cardiac arrest. Police said they found Darr conscious and semi-alert with a can of air duster, which he huffed in front of them.
Darr was taken to Cumberland County prison and held on a probation detainer.
Police in East Pennsboro Township are trying to identify a man they say is responsible for “multiple retail thefts” from the Smoker’s Express in the Summerdale Plaza.

There is no such thing as “finders-keepers,” according to police in Philadelphia.
They are now searching for a man who apparently didn’t know that.
On April 26, a woman left her laptop computer at a kiosk inside the parking garage located at 1500 Market Street.
“As she was paying the fee she put her laptop computer on top of the machine then walked away without her computer. About 1 1/2 hours later the suspect found the computer and left the parking garage without turning it into the parking manager,” police said.
The computer is a black Dell laptop computer valued at $1,200.

A couple faces multiple criminal charges after police said they overdosed on heroin while an 11-year-old child was in their home.
It was the child who called 911, Northern Lancaster County Regional Police.
According to police, Ashley Rice, 29, and James Roberts, 30, were unconscious in their home in the 500 block of Fruitville Pike when rescuers arrived on April 28.
Open baggies of suspected heroin, uncapped needles and other drug paraphernalia were in plain view, investigators said.
Rice and Roberts were charged with reckless endangerment and child endangerment. Police said the child is in the care of other relatives.
