CORNWALL, Ontario – Marijuana became legal in Canada today, Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018.
The Ontario Cannabis Store (OCS) has provided some guidelines in their online store for purchasing and consuming cannabis, especially for those who have not consumed before.
Never drive while on cannabis. Cannabis smoke is still harmful to the health of the user and those around them. Avoid cannabis if you have mental health issues or if your family has a history of mental health issues.
Do not consume cannabis and drive. Do not consume cannabis while pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not mix cannabis with alcohol. Do not mix cannabis with tobacco as this can increase health risks and the risk of dependency.Avoid cannabis if you are under the age of 25.
